Third Week of Trinity Term 2018

Third Week of Trinity Term 2018

Morning everyone,
What
a glorious day! I hope you’ve managed to get outside this weekend, and have taken a break from work/revision to enjoy it! We were blessed with a wonderful visit from Fr Damian Howard, the Jesuit Provincial, who preached at our 11am Mass this Sunday, and met
with many of you afterwards.

He
celebrated the Rite of Election of two of our catechumens who will be baptised during the 5:45pm Mass on Pentecost Sunday (20th May), along with four other students who will be confirmed. Make sure to save the date! The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop William
Kenney, and will be followed by a drinks reception in the Narthex. It is always a great joy to welcome those new to the faith into communion with the whole Church, so do make sure to join us for what will be a great celebration.

This
week, we hope especially to see you all at the Newman CathSoc Garden Party, a joint event with the Companions of the Order of Malta which will be held in the grounds of the beautiful Campion Hall. There will be Pimm’s in abundance!

You
can find all the details of our full schedule below. Please note a slight change to God in the Quad – the group will this week meet at the Christ Church Theology forum. If you’re interested in finding out more about this, please reply to this email and I can
forward you more details.

A
bientôt!
