Jesuits rarely stay in one place for very long and today at the end of the 11am Mass Fr Matthew passed on the sad news that, after their four years of wonderful service at the Chaplaincy, Frs. Nick and Ian are being asked by the Jesuit Provincial to take up new missions from this September, Fr Nick at Farm St Church in London and Fr Ian at St Beuno’s, the Jesuit Spirituality Centre in North Wales. We are going to miss Frs. Ian and Nick very much but at least their departure is not until September and so we will have time to arrange a proper thankyou for all they have done.
Fortunately, the Provincial is sending another Jesuit to replace Frs. Ian and Nick, Fr William Pearsall, currently Parish Priest at the Sacred Heart, Edinburgh.
