AMDG

After the Prime Minister’s announcement last night, many of you might be wondering what the next few weeks and months will hold. Please be assured that we will do our best at the Chaplaincy, along with the Newman Society, to support virtually all of you who aren’t able to return to Oxford for some, or all, of Hilary Term.

Public worship is still permitted, as is one one-to-one walk a day. If you are in Oxford, we do hope to see you at one of our Masses (please see details below) and please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us if you would like a walk and a chat. Resident Chaplaincy students would, I am sure, be pleased to link up for a walk, and I know that the Jesuits at Campion Hall would be very happy to do the same. Over the next week we will put in place some online ways of facilitating this.

It is a difficult time. Please keep the extended Oxford Catholic community and the University in your prayers. And could I ask, please, that you pray very especially for Fr Mark Langham, the Cambridge University Chaplain, who is very sick.

We will be praying for you all here.

Commending us all to the intercession of Our Lady, mother of Our Lord.

Fr. Matthew and all the Chaplains
