Mass in Slow Motion

This Mass gives time to be deeply attentive to the Liturgy of the Word before entering the Liturgy of the Eucharist. It is based on a model introduced by Cardinal Martini in Milan and developed at the Church of St. Ignace in Paris.
You will hear the Gospel read twice and be given some help in thinking about it – but then you will be given time to pray and meditate on the words of scripture on your own.
The Mass will be long (expect it to last one and a half hours!) but will allow you time and space to engage with the Word of God on your own terms and to discover more profoundly that this is a Word for you.
This term’s Masses in Slow Motion will be taking place at 8:00 pm on Sundays of 2nd, 4th and 6th weeks.
